We are pleased to share that the 2026 Emancipation Day Fund application process will open on June 23, 2026.
This year’s community grants will range from $500 to $1,000 per successful applicant, helping to ensure that a wide range of community-led applications and initiatives can be supported. Groups and organizations must be located in Nova Scotia and support activities taking place in Nova Scotia.
Applications will be accepted online at www.bccns.com/grants beginning June 23, 2026. The deadline to apply is July 17, 2026.
The Emancipation Day Fund supports community events and initiatives that recognize Emancipation Day and promote education, awareness, and community engagement around its historical significance.
We encourage eligible organizations and groups to review the application details and submit their applications before the deadline.
