 African Nova Scotian Community Calendar

The Black Cultural Centre is please to offer a community calendar.

We are pleased to offer this free service. Submit your community events 2- 3 weeks in advance. All items will be reviewed and posted on a weekly basis and must meet our general community calendar requirements.

Submissions are limited to basic information and 200 characters.

All community calendar submissions, must meet the following criteria A) Event must support or enhance the African Nova Scotian Community, B) Must take place within Nova Scotia and C) Must be an event of good taste and not promote crime, hate or prejudice. 

We are not responsible for any information provided that is incorrect. The events listed in the calendar are not the responsibility of the Black Cultural Society / Centre and are not affiliated in any way. The information provided is general information.

The Society for the Protection and Preservation of Black Culture in Nova Scotia (better known as the Black Cultural Society of Nova Scotia) was incorporated as a charitable organization as an act of provincial legislation in 1977. The Society has provincial Board of Directors, made up of representatives from various Black communities throughout Nova Scotia. The Centre is funded in part by the Government of Nova Scotia.
